John Kim joined TMJ4 News in August 2026 as a Sheboygan County reporter. He’s more than excited to call “Malibu of the Midwest” his home and tell stories of Sheboygan County.
John arrived at TMJ4 from WNDU in South Bend, Indiana, across Lake Michigan. He worked as a Weekend Anchor/Multimedia Journalist, covering breaking news, crime, public meetings, and feature stories. He is the Bronze Winner of the 47th Telly Awards for his “Honor Flight 52” stories. He is also the Continuing Coverage winner of 2025 Indiana SPJ Award for his coverage on “Father and stepmother of 6-year-old Justin are in custody after abusing and killing the child."
John’s family is in New Jersey and South Korea. He graduated from New York University with a double major in Journalism and Politics. John is a proud New York Mets fan and is aware of how that can put him in trouble here.
