Paris Fransway is TMJ4's Southern Milwaukee County reporter.
Paris was born in Oak Creek and spent her early childhood in southeastern Wisconsin, exploring Discovery World, learning to tap dance at Young Dance Academy and trying out all the flavors at Kopp's Frozen Custard.
She moved to Arizona for middle and high school but returned to the Midwest in 2022 to attend Northwestern University, where she graduated with degrees in Journalism and Political Science and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications.
While in college, Paris interned in newsrooms across the country, from Madison, Wisconsin to Tucson, Arizona and Washington, D.C. to right here at TMJ4. She has covered U.S.-Mexico border wall security, the impacts of federal immigration enforcement, a presidential inauguration, and won awards for her coverage on Capitol Hill. One of Paris's favorite parts about reporting is meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Outside the newsroom, Paris loves caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants, taking Pilates classes, and planning her next trip, whether to a new corner of Wisconsin or another country.
Paris is excited to be back home telling stories in the community that helped shape her. If you have a story idea, she'd love to hear from you. You can email her at Paris.Fransway@tmj4.com or connect with her on Instagram, Facebook, and X.
