MILWAUKEE COUNTY — Nearly all of Milwaukee County's municipalities have closed bars and restaurants to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, except for carryout and delivery services.
The order is effective as Tuesday, March 17, a news release says.
Those cities and towns include:
Bayside
Brown Deer
Cudahy
Fox Point
Glendale
Greendale
Greenfield
Hales Corners
Milwaukee
Oak Creek
River Hills
Shorewood

You can only get carry-out or delivery from these restaurants as far as the law prohibits.
The order comes the day before St. Patrick's day festivities in Milwaukee.
“Clear and bold actions are needed immediately to stop the spread of COVID-19 and strengthen public health in Milwaukee County, and that means closing our bars and restaurants for now," a combined news release from the cooperating municipalities says. "This will be extremely difficult on the family-owned bars, local restaurants and small businesses that make Milwaukee County the best place to call home. We are in unprecedented times, and that calls for unprecedented actions. We want to thank the bars, restaurants, businesses and all our residents for understanding this is a necessary measure to safeguard the health of our community. We are all in this together.”
This news comes just hours after Gov. Evers banned any gatherings of 50 or more people to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
