MILWAUKEE - George Webb's "5 for $5" burger deal has returned with the Brewers baseball season.
When the Brewers score five or more runs in a game, all 30 George Webb Restaurants will offer five burgers for $5 the following day.
The restaurant is celebrating their 70th anniversary. In 1948, George Webb opened the first of the chain on the corner of Ogden and Van Buren in Milwaukee.
George Webb predicted a 12 game winning streak in the 1940's and promised free burgers to fans if the prediction came true. Though the streak didn't happen until 1987, George Webb gave out nearly 170,000 free hamburgers.
