A father in Washington County relayed instructions from the 911 communications center to his wife as she delivered their third child.
On Sunday, Nov. 26 the father called 911 requesting medical assistance from the Washington County communications center as his wife went into labor in their home.
The Communications Officer followed department medical protocols for emergency medical dispatching to assist the couple with the delivery process and post-delivery care before first responders arrived.
At 4:43 a.m. baby Hope was born before any responders arrived at the home in the Town of Barton.
"We never in a million years expected such a grand entrance from this magnificent little bundle of light," the mom said.
Hope was born at a healthy 7 pounds 14 ounces.
