MILWAUKEE — The Captain Pabst Pilot House is closing its doors until further notice after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee visited the Pilot House on July 1 briefly, the business said in a Facebook post. Though the employee visited the business while it was closed to the public and was not behind the bar at any time, Captain Pabst said it would close the business until further notice out of an abundance of caution.

All business from the Pilot House will be closed, including to-go orders and any outdoor events. Staff who have come into contact with the employee will need to be tested and cannot come back until they test negative.

The building and patio will be sanitized.

"Once back open, we’ve added policies to keep you and our staff and you safe. We'll share them online and post around the Pilot House. We ask for your patience as we all work to keep safety a priority at this time," said the business.
