The Wisconsin Badgers fell to 11th in the latest AP Poll after Sunday’s 66-59 loss to Northwestern at home.

Wisconsin (21-4, 10-2 Big Ten) had climbed all the way up to seventh in the previous poll after winning 17 of their previous 18 games. However, when the NCAA Selection Committee released their top 16 seeds on Saturday, Wisconsin was nowhere to be found. In fact, no Big Ten team was listed among the top four seeds in any of the four regions.

The Badgers were unable to prove the committee wrong against Northwestern, shooting just 38 percent from the field.

Offense has been an issue for Wisconsin all season long. Here are some of the Badgers' offensive ranks relative to the rest of the country:

  • 172nd in scoring (73.8 ppg)
  • 100th in shooting percentage (46 percent)
  • 278th in free throw percentage (66.6 percent)

Wisconsin still sits atop the Big Ten, one game ahead of both Maryland and Purdue. Wisconsin fell at Purdue back in January. They host Maryland at the Kohl Center on February 19.

Wisconsin’s next matchup is this Thursday at Michigan.
