Posted

MILWAUKEE -- Baseball is back in Milwaukee, and the Brewers are preparing to face off against the St. Louis Cardinals Monday afternoon.

“Usually when I come to the tailgate every year it’s jam-packed up here," Darran Brown said. "Everybody’s excited."

One thing’s for sure, the home opener at Miller Park signifies the return of baseball in Milwaukee and fans said they have some pretty high hopes for the team.

MILWAUKEE BREWERS NEWS:

“They’re going to win," Pat Cieslak said. "They’re going to be the winners. I think they got a good team," she continued.

Longtime Brewers fan, Pat Cieslak, might actually be on to something —Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain led the Brewers to a season-opening sweep against the Padres and Jim Neumann, a passionate fan, who drives from Wisconsin Rapids each year with his buddies for the home opener said he’s confident this winning streak can continue throughout the season.

“I think they can hit," Neumann said.

"If they get some good pitches I think they’re going to be awesome. I think they’re going to be really good and I think we could make a run at the Cubs," Neumann continued.

First pitch is Monday at 1:10 PM.
