MILWAUKEE -- Sunday night at Coors Field in Denver, the Milwaukee Brewers swept the Colorado Rockies in the first round of the MLB playoffs, putting themselves in the NLCS for the first time since 2011.
HERE ARE FOUR THINGS TO KNOW TODAY...
- Having swept the Rockies, the Brewers will now have until Friday to recover for the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Atlanta Braves series. The Braves were victorious Sunday night, avoiding a sweep. The Dodgers lead that series 2-1. Game 4 is today at 3:30 p.m. in Atlanta.
- Games 1 and 2 of the NLCS will be at Miller Park Friday and Saturday. Single game tickets go on sale to Wisconsin residents at 10 a.m. Monday morning. The general public will be able to purchase tickets beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m.
- Soblemans Pub and Grill is giving out free burgers today, in celebration of the Brewers sweep. The locations participating are the original Soblemans on St. Paul Avenue in Milwaukee and the location in Richfield. If the Brewers win on Friday, George Webb Restaurants will be giving out free burgers too.
- Lastly, due to the Brewers sweep, Miller Brewing Company won the bet with Coors Brewing. This means that one free beer per customer will be given out on Friday. Locations and times for this event have yet to be announced.
