Students of the Year is a leadership program which students foster skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management in order to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in a seven week fund-raising challenge. Candidates form and lead a team, meet with businesses, plans events, secure sponsorships, and reach out to as many people as they know to raise as much as they can for the mission of LLS. The campaign started January 19th and ends March 11th with a Virtual Grand Finale Celebration event. This campaign offers visibility and recognition within the community and showcases their leadership skills.
Today one of the student candidates, Davis Vega joins us along with Chelsea Metzger from LLS. They will discuss how the campaign works.
