Every day, many Milwaukee youth, women and families fall victim to human trafficking and abuse. The Purpose of the Purse program assists with the healing process for these survivors thanks to the efforts made by outreach volunteers at Fresh Start Learning, Inc. Here to explain the significance of the purses, the personal care items found in them and the importance of community collaboration, is the organization's Executive Director, Nancy Yarbrough.
Fresh Start Learning is also asking for your help and support. In order to help bring additional awareness, prevention tactics and techniques to combat the plagues that attack our youth, families and community, the organization is asking for volunteers and donations. They are hosting a luncheon, fundraiser and silent auction for The Purpose of the Purse. More information on the event can be found below:
