Weekend Events: Brats, cars, the circus and more

Events are going on every day this weekend in Milwaukee.

Fred Usinger Day  is on Fri, Feb 23 and the Old German Beer Hall in Milwaukee will be handing out free sausages in celebration. Brats offered from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., limit one per person.

The Greater Milwaukee International Car and Truck Show begins on Sat, Feb. 24 and runs until Sun, March 4. The car show is open Saturdays 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Also coming into town this weekend is the Tripoli Shrine Circus. The circus is at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena Fri, Feb. 23 through Sun, Feb. 25. 

Arts events this weekend include plays The Wiz and Finding Neverland. Both stories put a new twist on classic children's stories The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan. The Wiz is showing at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts Fri, Feb 23 through Sun, March 25, and Finding Neverland is at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts until Sun, Feb 25. 

Lastly, the Milwaukee Public Museum is holding special event Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed. It's the largest exhibition about the ancient Maya to ever be displayed in the United States, and it runs through Memorial Day Mon, May 28.
