High school football players rescue cat from storm drain

They heard the cat's cries from a sewer drain

Two Massachusetts high school football players have a new lucky charm after saving a stuck cat.

George Lampros and Max Sergio heard the cat's cries coming from a sewer drain as they were preparing for a game against the number one team in the state.

With a bit of ingenuity, they were able to free the feline by lowering a bucket into the drain.
Afterwards, they upset a team that hadn't lost a game in three years.

"Maybe that was karma for the game that night, I don't know. We'll take any advantage we can get," says Bridgewater-Raynham's Coach Dan Buran.

While the coach doesn't plan on adopting the cat just yet, he is considering changing the school's mascot to "The Kittens" as a measure of good luck.
