DASH CAM: Texas house explodes after SUV crashes into it

A home in Hurst, Texas exploded after a vehicle crashed into it and struck a gas line. 

Hurst police released dash cam video of the incident.

The driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle when he slammed into the side of the home and hit a gas line. Two officers were responding to the crash when the home exploded. They suffered minor injuries.

Three family members were inside the home at the time of the explosion.

A woman and her husband remain in the hospital with severe burns. The woman has burns on nearly half of her body. The husband was burned trying to help her out of the house.

The couple's 30-year-old son was in the back of the house at the time of the incident. He suffered injuries from assisting in the rescue but has since been released from the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle did not obtain any injuries. He was arrested for traffic offenses.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
