U-Haul offering free storage for students displaced due to COVID-19

Posted

U-Haul is offering 30 days of free self-storage to students who have to move due to precautions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Many colleges and universities are taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by temporarily closing campus and sending students home.

The company says they are "standing by and ready to help" in this time of need where students may be scrambling on how to quickly move or store their belongings.

In addition to offering 30 days of free self-storage, U-Haul offers several moving options including special rates for truck and trailer rentals.

U-Haul says the minimum age to rent a truck is 18 years old with a valid driver's license.

There may be limited availability in your area, so the company is encouraging students to act quickly.

Students can visit U-Haul's website to find a nearby location.
