MILWAUKEE -- Lakefront Brewery will close its doors to the public beginning Friday, March 13 in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the brewery said Thursday.

Lakefront's Beer Hall, restaurant, tours, and special events will all be paused from that time until further notice.

“It’s crucial that our city gets out in front of this health crisis,” said Lakefront Brewery President and Founder, Russ Klisch. “We only have one chance to end the transmission of this virus.”

Brewing operations will continue as normal.

“Our brewing, cellar and packaging staff is small and our operations remain clean and dependable,” Klisch mentioned. “There will not be a shortage of beer to buy wherever Lakefront is available.”

Affected event cancellations include: Sunday, March 15th’s Keg Stand Up, Tuesday, March 17th’s Drag Queen Bingo and all tours.
