Woman killed in triple shooting, others injured

MILWAUKEE-- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating after a 62-year-old woman and several others were injured after a triple-shooting occurred near 65th and Hampton late Friday.

Investigators said the shooting happened about 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 4800 block of N. 65th Street.

Officers located a 34-year-old woman with a critical gunshot wound.

Shortly after, two people who were shot showed up at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene. A 45-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening wound.

“It was rapid gunfire and it sounded like it happened in front of my door,” said neighbor Angela Anderson.

Doorbell video shared with TODAY’S TMJ4, showed several officers rushing to assist the victim when arriving on scene.

Authorities said that the person responsible for the shooting has not been identified by police.
