A 24-year-old woman has died after being struck by a wrong-way driver on I-94 in Pewaukee Tuesday night.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened about 11:30 p.m. when a man traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-94 struck and killed the woman who was driving eastbound near Meadowbrook Road.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene while the man involved in the crash was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with severe injuries.
I-94 was shut down for approximately four hours after the crash.
Wisconsin State Patrol and the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office are continuing the investigation.
