Wisconsin State Rep. Jonathan Brostoff is refusing to cut his hair until a bill passes that will benefit the deaf community.

The bill works to protect the rights of people in the deaf community by addressing the shortage of licensed sign language interpreters.

"Until it's finished, I'm gonna have my Jewfro flowing," said Rep. Brostoff in a video.

The bill has unanimous support in the Assembly, but is waiting on the state Senate.

If it passes, Brostoff will get his fro cut at a deaf-owned hair salon.
