The Milwaukee Parks, Energy and Environment Committee announced it will consider a study that evaluated the pros and cons of growing hemp in Milwaukee County.
The committee will hear the study Monday and further discuss the possible production.
This comes after Supervisor Sylvia Ortiz-Velez proposed that Milwaukee County start producing, researching and certifying hemp. Last September, Ortiz-Velez called for the study to be done.
State Sen. Lena Taylor and Elizabeth Coggs, Taylor's district representative, will attend the meeting.
