GREENFIELD — It is rescan day. It is the day the federal government requires broadcasters to change frequencies. People who watch local stations through an antenna had to rescan their television today to keep seeing our channel.

TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Rebecca Klopf went out to help one of our viewers who was having trouble getting their TV to rescan. She met Al Krause with balloons and a cake to celebrate the big day.

He met her with his remote in hand.

"I have been trying for 10 hours. I started at midnight," said Krause.

For his TV, the rescan happened after hitting 'Menu,' 'Execute Channel Search,' "Analog and Digital' and then, 'Yes.'

"Oh man, you did it, you did it," exclaimed Krause when the channels started scanning.

We left him in his house in time to still enjoy TODAY'S TMJ4 News at 6 p.m.
