MILWAUKEE-- One person was taken into custody after fleeing from police on Milwaukee’s South Side Friday night.
The police pursuit ended in a crash near the intersection of Becher St and S 15th Place when the suspect crashed into another driver before hitting several parked cars.
“I mean, police were everywhere in every direction,” said Deborah Gajaweski, who witnessed the aftermath.
Investigators said that they attempted to pull over a vehicle driving recklessly in the 2400 block of S. 13th street.
The chase lasted for about two minutes before the crash occured.
“It’s crazy and very dangerous. Kids live out here,” Gajaweski said.
Jose Ramirez’s truck was hit during the crash on Friday. A shattered window, taillight and dents in the bed of his pickup truck were some of the damages left on his vehicle.
A passenger was also taken to the hospital following the crash. Authorities have not released any information on the charges that the suspect could face.
