KENOSHA COUNTY — Drivers along I-94 in Kenosha County were in for a surprise when they spotted several people snowmobiling down the freeway during last Saturday's snowstorm.
Video posted by one driver of a car shows the snowmobilers passing him and swerving around other vehicles driving along the snow-covered roadway.
Regardless, driving a snowmobile on a federal freeway when it is unauthorized by the state DNR is illegal in Wisconsin. I-94 in Kenosha County was not authorized for snowmobile access during last weekend's storms.
