Officers surrounded a home near 8th and Maple St. Tuesday morning after a fatal officer-involved shooting. Authorities said they were searching for homicide suspect Victor Cintron.

Police taped off several blocks as locals watched and recorded the scene on their cell phones.

Residents that live in the area said they have never seen such a massive police presence and were shocked by the recent violence.

"It’s unbelievable," said Dawn who lives a couple blocks away from the shooting. "You can’t even have anybody be around your own neighborhood."

Marty Calderon is a local pastor. When he heard the news he rushed to the scene to see if he could comfort and calm those in the neighborhood.

"A lot of people want to put blame on the officers but we don’t really know what happened," said Calderon. "My concern is for the victim his family and officers involved in this."

Calderon said his main focus is keeping the peace between police and locals.

Anyone with information on Cintron's whereabouts is asked to contact Milwaukee Police.
