The city is warning neighbors about a rash of home burglaries on Milwaukee's northwest side.  The robberies are happening during the week between 9am-2pm.

"It's really scary. I'm actually home during the day and in the morning time, so I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but to find out that people are brazen enough to come in your home in broad daylight is really scary," Johnnetria Gardner said.

The city says there's been an uptick of robbers breaking into homes in the last 30 days within a half mile radius of 35th and Thurston.

"That's really creepy for somebody to be breaking into my house while I'm at work, and I don't have a security system. I don't know what to expect when I get home," Kathleen Nichols said.

People in the area are frustrated.

"We work hard for our stuff and we don't need that, said Michelle Hunter.

Neighbors are encouraged to report any suspicious activity.
