MILWAUKEE -- A suspect is now receiving mental health after a standoff on Milwaukee's northwest side Wednesday.
Shots rang out between the man and police in an apartment unit on Lovers Land Wednesday afternoon.
One bullet hit an officer's shield. Police said the man was in a state of extreme mental distress.
Negotiations lasted about 10 hours. Nobody was hurt in the standoff.
