MILWAUKEE — Police say they are still looking for one person after a reckless driving chase ended in a crash on January 30, just after 9:30 p.m. on the city's south side.

Officers noticed a white Mitshuibishi Galant speeding in the area of S 16th Street near W Cleveland Avenue. Police say the car then veered into the bike lane, and passed several vehicles.

"All of a sudden, I heard a lot of policemen and it looks like they were chasing somebody and then all of a sudden my daughter goes ‘oh no they crashed." said neighbor Gloria Estrada.

She has lived in her home for 24-years and said the crash was so loud it woke her up. "Just all of a sudden, boom!"

She said neighbors began to fill the street. Estrada said the scene was chaotic.

"If it wasn’t for that tree right there it would’ve probably ran into that neighbors house," said Estrada.

Police say four men were arrested at the scene. They were all minors between the ages of 15 and 17. All of those suspects were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses say one additional person fled on foot. Police say that person was a driver and they're still searching for that suspect.

For Gloria Estrada, the crash is frustrating and she hopes this will help push for more safety measures in her neighborhood.

"We have been asking for speed bumps and nothing has been done over the years and its always like zooming in so badly," said Estrada."Knowing that the streets are dangerous where we live, try to get some more speed bumps. Even if they’re chasing them or not It causes them to slow down."

Police say the investigation into this pursuit and crash is still ongoing.
