MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that left two children and their mother injured after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Milwaukee.

Authorities arrived on scene about 6 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 6th and Juneau for reports of the collision near Fiserv Forum. The injured parties involved were taken to a local hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Investigators are working to locate a silver Chevy Malibu with Texas license plates.

Several children have been injured recently in local hit-and-run incidents. A 13-year-old boy was injured in a similar collision Thursday, marking the third time that a child was injured in a Milwaukee hit-and-run in nearly two weeks.
