Two Milwaukee County Executive Candidates who are being left off the spring primary ballot are appealing a judge's recent ruling.
On Friday, Judge Kevin Martens upheld the ruling made by the Wisconsin Elections Commission that had initially kicked off Glendale Mayor Bryan Kennedy and former State Sen. Jim Sullivan from the ballot.
Sullivan and Kennedy were taken off the ballot because both men had some of their petitions collected by the same canvassing vendor. Earlier, that vendor had collected signatures for candidate David Crowley. Under Wisconsin state law, one person cannot collect petitions for multiple candidates.
Sullivan and Kennedy filed an appeal on the ruling Monday morning.
