Milwaukee coronavirus testing facility shut down for 'active emergency situation'

MILWAUKEE — The Custer Stadium National Guard coronavirus testing location in Milwaukee near Fairmount and Sherman was temporarily shut down Tuesday morning.

In a press release, the City of Milwaukee said that police, "were responding to an active emergency situation in the area."

The site is in the process of reopening. It is unclear how long it will take to fully reopen the site. The City is asking that anyone wishing to get tested visit later in the day or later this week.

The hours of the testing facility are:

  • Monday - Thursday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Friday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday - Closed
