HUBBARD TOWNSHIP, Wis. - A 21-year-old Menomonee Falls man faces charges after reversing into a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper’s vehicle during a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. when a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper was attempting to stop a vehicle on Highway 33 east of the city of Horicon in the township of Hubbard.

The driver eventually stopped his car in the traffic lane on County Road S near County Road TW, put the vehicle in reverse and crashed into the trooper’s vehicle, investigators said. The driver then exited the car and was aggressive and not compliant toward the trooper.

Two witnesses stopped and helped the trooper control the 21-year-old until other officers arrived, officials said.

The trooper suffered minor injuries, but was not transported for treatment, according to the release. The 21-year-old also suffered minor injuries, but was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
