As many spent their day digging out of parking spots Tuesday, over at Bradford Beach, Henry and Marcelo Galizio spent their afternoon riding waves and hanging ten, Wisconsin style.
The two surfed waves along Lake Michigan, battling choppy waters, ice and cold temperatures.
"Believe it or not, it feels like summer," said Marcelo.
Henry has never surfed in the ocean before but felt like surfing in a snowstorm in the middle of winter is just as good.
"I've only been able to surf once in the last month so it was awesome to get out there," said Henry.
Marcelo is no stranger to extreme sports. He is a professional kayaker and once kayaked over Michigan's Taquamenon Falls.
Although he is a professional, he doesn't advise surfers to head out and ride Lake Michigan's waves during this extremely cold temps.
