MILWAUKEE -- More than 6 million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust. Five million non-jews were also killed by the Nazi's and their collaborators.

Seventy-four years ago last month, the Soviet Army entered Auschwitz and liberated more than 7,000 prisoners. World War II archival footage shows then four-year-old Michael Bornstein.

He shared on Live at Daybreak alongside his daughter Debbie Bornstein Holinstat why he wrote his book Survivors Club: The True Story of a Very Young Prisoner of Auschwitz.

You can hear his amazing story of survival through his family's darkest hours, including the loss of his father and brother. Most importantly to never forget.

Bornstein will be speaking Sunday February 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun at 2020 W. Brown Deer Road in River Hills. The event is FREE.

This event is presented by the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
