MILWAUKEE -- It was the picture-perfect weekend to get out and Hike Milwaukee.

More than 400 people did just that at the Urban Ecology Center Sunday.

"HKE MKE" raised money for the organization. The money will be used to connect Milwaukee's urban students with mother nature.

"Plants that are pretty obscure that most adults don't know, and they're able to point them out in nature is pretty impressive," said Calan Schoonenberg with the Urban Ecology Center.

TODAY'S TMJ4 Storm Chaser made it out to the trails as well. Meteorologist Brian Niznansky showed off all it can offer, to keep you safe in any storm.

As of Sunday afternoon, over $25,000 had been donated.

TODAY'S TMJ4 was a proud sponsor of this event.
