Family of suspected Molson Coors gunman releases statement

MILWAUKEE — An attorney for the family of a man suspected of killing five of his co-workers at a Milwaukee Molson Coors facility released a statement on Friday.

The man suspected of killing five people before turning the gun on himself at the Molson Coors facility in Milwaukee has been identified as a Anthony Ferrill, a longtime electrician with the company.

On behalf of the immediate and extended family of Anthony Ferrill:
Our family feels terrible sadness and heartache over the tragic incident at Molson Coors and devastating loss to the Milwaukee community. We are shocked and dismayed to learn of the apparent involvement and death of our family member.
We sincerely extend our sympathy, compassion and prayers to the victims and families who lost their loved ones. Our family does not intend to make any further statements or conduct interviews, and we please ask the media and others to respect our privacy and allow us space to mourn and heal.

The shooting occurred at a sprawling facility that includes a mix of corporate offices and brewing facilities.

A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Police were seen at a home believed to be owned by Ferrill Thursday afternoon.

Community prayer vigil held for victims in Molson Coors mass shooting

A Miller Valley Survivor Fund has been set up for the victims' families by Molson Coors.
