MILWAUKEE - Kindness Rocks! Especially to animals.

Dezarae Jones-Hartwig, youth programs manager with the Wisconsin Humane Society joined us live on Sunday morning on Live at Daybreak to share their campaign. They are accepting posters, poetry or photography from children K5-12 to spread the word about being kind to animals. The submission deadline is Friday, March 22.

The deadline to submit is Friday, March 22, 2019.

"Be Kind to Animals Week" is May 5-11. Each year, the Wisconsin Humane Society gives students a theme. This year, the theme is "Kindness Rocks!"

The winning entries are displayed around the shelter, published in a special art book, and a ceremony honors the winners in May. This event will be emceed by our very own TODAY'S TMJ4 Weekend Daybreak Anchor/Reporter Julia Fello.
