Up to a foot of snow is possible over the weekend so take advantage of it by hitting the slopes!

Southeastern Wisconsin has an abundance of ski hills to take advantage of. If you know how to snowboard, ski, or even like tubing, this weekend might be one of the best to get out and hit the slopes.

Whether you live in the Sheboygan, Milwaukee, or even Illinois border area, there's a ski hill near you that is definitely worth while.

  • Sunburst Winter Sports Park: Located in Kewauskum, Sunburst offers it all. From snowboarding, to skiing, to tubing, this ski resort is suited for everyone. Even if you don't know how to ski, Sunburst offers a ski school every day for people looking to learn. They also have several terrain parks that are worth checking out.
  • Little Switzerland: 18 slopes make up Little Switzerland in Slinger. From easy rides to the black diamond, small terrain parks to large, this park has a lot to offer for snowboarders and skiers. Similar to Sunburst, Little Switzerland offers lessons for anyone who is looking to learn how to snowboard or ski. If you're not interested in learning with other people, they even offer private lessons for all ages.
  • Wilmot Mountain: Right on the Wisconsin/Illinois boarder is Wilmot Mountain. Featuring slopes for tubing, snowboarding, and skiing, there's always something new to try. In addition to slopes, Wilmot also offers two terrain parks for those looking for something a little more exciting than just riding the slopes.
  • Alpine Valley: Featuring 21 runs and a vertical drop of 388 feet, Alpine Valley is sure to satisfy all your skiing and snowboarding needs. Alpine Valley is perfectly suited for beginners with an entire area dedicated to those of us who are just starting out. They also offer terrain parks, lodging, food, and classes.

Now that there's enough snow and you know where to go, you have no excuse to not hit the slopes this weekend. If your New Year's resolution was to try something new or spend more time outdoors, here's an idea: HIT THE SLOPES!
