Posted

There's a lot of hype when it comes to hoops in Milwaukee this weekend. Fiserv Forum hosting two big games.

On Friday night, the Milwaukee Bucks take on NBA league champions, Golden State Warriors. Then, Saturday afternoon, the Marquette Golden Eagles play their annual game against the University of Wisconsin Badgers, ranked 12th in the nation.

"We're going to the bucks game, and then we're going to try and go to the Badgers game," said Bradley Gumz. "We're making it a big basketball weekend."

Bradley and his brother Craig, both University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire alums, are visiting from Minneapolis.

"This is going to be our first trip inside Fiserv Forum and we're excited about it," Craig said.

"My best friend has season tickets and says it's incredible," Bradley said. "He keeps sending me photos from games, so that's why we're here. To check it out."

His best friend and season-ticket holder, Dan Olson, says tonight is a big game for the Bucks.

"Probably the biggest game of the year for them so far," he said. "If the Bucks want to prove that they're a team to be reckoned with, they have to beat the best, and the Warriors are the best."

Today's TMJ4 caught-up with Schon Parker, who was buying a last-minute ticket Friday night.

"I'm excited," Parker said. "I have to be there. It's the first time Stephen Curry will be in the Fiserv Forum."

Whatever the end result on the basketball court, having two big games in the same weekend, is a win for downtown.

"We've already been frequenting the local establishments," Bradley says. " We're headed to a beer tour right now. There could be a stop or two on Water Street later."

Tickets are still available for both games.
