MILWAUKEE — As we head into the new year, we have our eyes glued to the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee.

An activist is warning that large sporting events and conventions are susceptible to sex trafficking.

Arnold Cifax works with a group known as HEMAD which stands for Human trafficking Educators working with Men and boys to stand Against the Demand wants more people to click on this link to watch a video and sign and online petition.

His concern in Milwaukee will be an uptick in demand around the DNC, "Like the convention, like the Superbowl, these huge events those are just marketplaces for those who traffic these women," said Arnold Cifax.

More than 8,000 people have taken the pledge to take action if they see someone in trouble. He hopes for thousands more, "Trafficking starts at 12 and 14... these are middle school kids!'
