82-year-old Milwaukee man hit, killed by driver Monday

MILWAUKEE — An 82-year-old man was struck and killed Monday afternoon in the 2600 block of W. Lapham Street.

Police say a 14-year-old male was driving with a 25-year-old woman when they struck an unoccupied parked vehicle and then the 82-year-old.

The 82-year-old man was trapped under the vehicle and had to be extricated. He was then taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The 14-year-old and his passenger, the 25-year-old, were taken into custody.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
