SHEBOYGAN — Five cats were killed during a Monday evening house fire in Sheboygan, according to the Sheboygan Fire Department.
The fire started just before 4 p.m. at the 1000 block of Bell Avenue.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire and save a dog; however, five cats were killed in the fire.
No people were home during the fire.
About $30,000 worth of damage was caused to the property. It is unclear how the fire started and is still under investigation.
