While several companies are closing their doors because of COVID-19, some are looking for employees. Kohl's was the latest large Wisconsin Company to shut its doors today, following Harley-Davidson Wednesday. Kohl's operates nearly 1,200 stores across the countermand employs about 122,000 people.

The retailer says online sales will remain, and goods will be shipped to customer's homes. Kohl's also said it would support associates with two weeks of pay. The move came just days after the retailer had reduced its hours because of COVID-19.

Companies are hiring, despite the massive shut down across the country. Mostly in sectors that will help produce equipment to fight the virus and grocery stores. Local companies like Roundy's, Amazon, GE Healthcare, Dominos, and Jet's Pizza have all posted jobs.

The co-owner of Milwaukee's Eastside Jet's pizza said: "we're actually looking for delivery drivers right now." Douglas Pierard told TMJ4 News that delivery orders are way up now that people are staying home. "We can only expect it to go up from here. So we're trying to hire as many people as we can right now to prepare for what might come in the future." His location is looking for three drivers, and others are looking for delivery drivers, too, he said.

Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development says unemployment claims have risen steadily since Monday.
