WAUKESHA — A third-grader at Hillcrest Elementary in the Waukesha School District has tested positive for COVID-19, a district spokesperson said Thursday.
The student's family told the district about the positive test on Labor Day. Everyone in both sections of third grade at the school was asked to stay home Tuesday.
The district said the entire grade could have been in contact with the student.
Students in both third-grade classes are doing virtual learning through Sept. 15 and will return to school on Sept. 16.
