The Cudahy Health Department has released the final numbers of positive COVID-19 cases at Smithfield Foods after conducting testing at the facility.

A total of 86 people tested positive for COVID-19 of the 1,000 employees who work at the facility. Testing was provided to 503 employees on-site from April 24-28. Of the 503, 23 people tested positive.
Local health departments have been alerted of the cases in the areas in which the individuals reside. From there, they evaluate each person and provide them with information on self-quarantine.
