Many nonprofit agencies have had to cancel important events because of concerns over the coronavirus. Others, however, are trying to hold virtual versions of their events. The Wisconsin region of the American Red Cross is holding its '2020 Virtual Brave Hearts Gala' right now.

For the past 14 years, the in-person event has attracted hundreds of people and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. This year, a virtual gala means everyone can bid on special items to help fund the American Red Cross in Wisconsin and learn about heroes in our community.
