MADISON, Wisconsin — Legislators called to meet on Saturday failed to meet and pass legislation changing the spring election.

Governor Tony Evers signed an Executive Order on April 3 calling legislature to meet and make changes for the election, April 7.

That session was scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday and the Legislature failed to meet and pass legislation.

Evers stated, “Being a good leader means listening to the experts, being willing to adjust our course based on the science, and making the tough decisions necessary to protect the people of our state.”

Evers urges Wisconsinites to contact their legislators and have their voices heard.
