RACINE — The Racine mask ordinance goes into effect Monday, so the City of Racine is making masks available to the public.

Beginning Monday, anyone over the age of 4 will be required to wear a face mask when inside public spaces, in outdoor spaces when social distancing cannot be maintained, when using any form of public transportation, and when with people from outside of their household or family unit.

Ahead of this ordinance going into effect, the city is making face masks available. These masks will be available at five Community Oriented Policing Houses in Racine.

If you need a mask, you can pick one up Monday between 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

  • 1750 Mead Street
  • 1522 West Sixth Street
  • 1140 Geneva Street
  • 1900 16th Street
  • 2437 Anthony Lane

Racine Fire Department will also have masks available at all of their locations. They will be available every weekday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. while supplies last. Their locations are:

  • 2430 Northwestern Avenue
  • 1107 Lombard Avenue
  • 3829 Washington Avenue
