It's time to break out the sunscreen, Wisconsinites because we're expecting a weekend of hot and humid weather.

A Heat Advisory will go into effect Saturday at 1 p.m. and is scheduled to continue through 8 p.m.

This afternoon's highs will climb into the upper 80s with slightly more humidity compared to Thursday. The day will feature lots of sunshine and dry conditions. The heat index for Saturday afternoon will have temperatures feeling closer to 100, 98 in Milwaukee, 101 in Madison and 104 in Green Bay!

If you're looking to stay cool, health experts recommend that you wear loose, light-colored clothing and stay hydrated.

Staying hydrated before you're thirsty is key, as it can help your body regulate internal temperate, according to the CDC. Getting too hot can make you sick. You can become ill from the heat if your body can’t compensate for it and properly cool you off, health experts say.
