Feeling more like fall Thursday

and last updated

The winds of change are here and they will bring an end to the unseasonably warm September stretch we've had. Westerly winds will stay breezy tonight and temperatures will fall into the cool 50s near Lake Michigan and mid-40s inland to add some of that fall crispness to the air on Thursday morning. Mostly sunny skies will not help warm us up much on Thursday with temperatures only reaching the upper 60s with a breezy westerly wind. Kickoff temperature for the Packers game at Lambeau will be 61 degrees but it will fall into the low 50s by the end of the game so get your green and yellow layers ready if you are heading up to Green Bay.

Friday will be wet and windy with a southerly wind gusting up to 30mph at times, this will bring in plenty of moisture with 0.5"-1.5"+ of rain possible by the time this storm system exits late Friday night. Temperatures will top out around 70 degrees but it will feel colder with the wind and the rain. The weekend looks cool with highs in the 60s and a breezy wind still lingering on Saturday. There is a chance for some showers by the end of Sunday as well with more rain chances possible next week.
