Wednesday morning is sunny but the chilly temps stick around

and last updated 2021-01-26 23:26:08-05

The snow has come to an end with most of the area getting 4-6" of snow. Milwaukee had 5.9" and Grafton had the most snow with 8". The lake effect threat has come to an end with the wind shifting to the north and it is still gusting at 20-30 mph. Blowing snow is the main threat for this evening. The clouds start to clear out tonight and temps drop into the single digits inland to 18 in Milwaukee. Morning wind chills will be 3 above in Milwaukee to -3 inland. We will get to see some sun on Wednesday, but it stays cold with highs in the low to mid 20s and wind chills in the teens.

Thursday morning wind chills will be -5 to -10 with actual temps in the single digits. The afternoon is sunny and cold with highs near 20. The wind is finally light and that will help the wind chills. Friday is partly cloudy and pleasant with highs near 30. We get into the mid 30s on Saturday with a wintry mix moving in by late afternoon. That mix changes to snow Saturday night and Sunday with strong NE winds creating blowing and drifting snow. You will need to shovel and use the snow blowers...stay tuned for updates throughout the week.
